Bayern Munich ; Serge Gnabry
Despite Tottenham Hotspur having severe defensive problems, we can’t argue the fact that Serge Gnabry put quite an exceptional performance against the former champions league finalists. The 24-year-old scored two goals from two second-half minutes, to take the game away from the English side. He then added two more conclusively to shatter all hopes, netting four. The former Arsenal man must have left the Gooners wondering why he was allowed to leave the club in the first place.
Robert Lewandowski grabbed two as Bayern humiliated Pochettino’s men at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 2-7.
Heung-Min Son opened the scoring in 12th minute and Harry Kane, later on, scored from the penalty to make it two of which Bayern Munich had 4 goals by then. Unfortunately, you very well know that the Germans were not done as yet.
Never the less, compared to last year’s performance, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will have to tighten things up at the back for questions were inevitably raised over the future of the Argentine following such a disgusting defeat.
Mauricio Pochettino, sacked!
After such a defeat, no one has the right to sleep well for sure and the fans will agree to that. However, fans demand that the 47-year-old should be sacked as coach but is that how far he could take the club in the champions league?
“They were very clinical. With the quality that they have, if you are after 53 minutes and you concede two goals then you take risks. We are so disappointed. I feel very, very disappointed. My feeling is so bad. When you concede seven goals you have to stand up and be tough.”~ Mauricio Pochettino
